Ephemeral Interventions in the City, 2012

The age we live in marches on at an ever faster pace. It is not only the succession of events and the accelerated flow of information which give us this sense. The space around us is constantly being transformed. We see an increased introspection in urban life being expressed ever more frequently in ephemeral actions and interventions in the space. Architecture, on the other hand, continues to move slowly. And even when it attempts to follow, as is to be ex-pected that it will do, the speed of the era, it does not necessarily take part in these expressions. Its work continues to be marked by its static nature and its duration through time.
